i watched it too and liked it but why is it only old down-n-out white guys being interviewed? I loved the farmer who never had a dream in life. he was solid. I realized after watching the intros that i had never seen lynch before.
I was going to make another undercutting comment, but since you prompted, I will give you my actual thoughts. I also enjoyed the opening credits, a lot, but I didn't much enjoy the actual film. The directing aspect was good, I liked the various shots of the actor looking at the Internet. The acting was good too. But I don't see the point of making a film without a narrative. Incidentally, I think you should hire me to write your next film.
This film I think has proven to be the most hated thing I've ever been involved with. What kind of narrative do you expect in a film that is one and a half minutes long? None, exactly. And why does no one appreciate awkward humour? I should've omitted the credits at the beginning so people wouldn't focus on that. I don't know, I'm obviously biased, but I'm pretty sure that I would enjoy this even if I wasn't the one who made it. I literally don't get what's so terrible about this.
I don't think anyone hates it, but most people are a bit confused by it. I'm even more confused now that you said that it was intended to be humouous. In addition, I don't see how it is the least bit awkward since Christopher is alone, and seemingly perfectly at ease. You should accept people's compliments, I believe they are genuine and even helpful. And my last point is that a lot can happen in under 2 minutes. Take those stop-motion short films Julia showed us, for example.
& then what happened??

ReplyDelete"THE camera work WAS hinting at"
ReplyDeleteSo it was supposed to be banal? But Christopher looked like he was enjoying himself. I'm not joking, he didn't look the least bit dissatisfied.
